Summary
The CONNECT Project addressed the urgent mental health needs of LGBTQIA+ individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic. Basera offered tele-counselling, emergency support, and safe spaces for community members facing isolation, violence, or distress. The project also trained peer responders and built referral linkages with mental health professionals and legal aid services.
