On 1 October 2026, twenty-five participants at Garima Greh received their certificates after completing a 15-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme. For many of them, it was the first certificate they had ever been given.

The training was held at Garima Greh in Sector 22, Noida, from 15 to 29 September 2026, in partnership with NIESBUD, the national institute for entrepreneurship. Participants learned how to plan a small business, work out costs and prices, talk to customers and keep simple accounts. They also learned about government schemes and bank loans that can help them get started.

The best part, many said, was getting out of the classroom. Over six days, the group visited real businesses: a bakery, a plant nursery, market stalls and a nail art studio. They saw how these businesses buy, sell and manage money, and asked the owners every question they had.

This programme is part of PRISM–UP, our effort to make sure that time at Garima Greh leads to a steady income. The next step is mentoring. Participants will now work in small groups with mentors, shape their own business ideas, and track how much they earn each month.
