About Basera Samajik Sansthan

Basera Samajik Sansthan is a transgender-led, community-based organization founded in 2006 and registered under the Society Act 1860 with registration No (No. 914-2006-2007). Born from lived experience and collective resilience, Basera advances dignity, equity, and empowerment for LGBTQIA+ communities and people living with HIV. We center those most affected by marginalization—transgender and hijra persons, sex workers and MSM, PLHIV, and vulnerable youth—ensuring they lead every step toward lasting change.
